Váltás magyar nyelvre/Change to Hungarian

Joszko Broda and his Hungarian friends:

 Poslóchejcie kamaradzi

Polish-Hungarian village music

On this CD we hear compositions with Polish lyrics but with a very unique accompaniment that could only have been created in the Carpathian Valley. This distinctive world of sounds has integrated in itself all the ideals from Paris to Central Asia, from the Balkans to the Baltic Sea. In its historic depth it derives from Norman shepherds to contemporary music.

The music apothecary of Joszko Broda offers to us a new medicine with basic treatment. Polyphonic singing, various kinds of rhythms, or special rhytmic schemes, archaic sequencing used in the case of folk instruments - we can enumerate many more of all the rich forms that are mixed in these great compositions.

Consequently, they fill the souls of human beings with joy. One can only hope that these are not only the souls of Poles and Hungarians but also of other nations.

Maybe even the soul of entire Europe.
