Ilona Nyisztor: The little bird has gone away ED-CD 057

Ilona Nyisztor is the well-known singer of Moldavian Csángómagyars who live in the Romanian territory. The uniquely gifted singer learnt her repertoire from her parents, grandparents and the still alive old villagers. She is a kindergarten teacher by profession, but besides this, she organizes dance groups, choirs, collects folk songs and performs on concerts inland as well as abroad. Released many solo albums and she is a regular participant in big Hungarian festivals.

This album contains ballads that were collected mainly in her hometown and the nearby villages. Even those who do not understand Hungarian are enthralled by her supreme and genuine performance. Whereby the beauty of the archaic Hungarian language becomes perceptible, as well as the healing power of meditation and the faith - which effaces all bad - and serenity of tortured people.
