Whistle-music from a Dance-house of Moldva
EDR-CD 045
|
This CD comprise whistle-tunes of the Csángó-Hungarian living on the outer edge of the Eastern Carpathians. It features two native musicians from the village of Klézse in county Bákó: András Hódorog (1942-) and István Legedi László (1948-) bothof whom are true masters of their instruments. András Hódorog was an heir to his grandfather's playing skill, while István Legedi László learned his father's art. All the tunes are supported by the so-called "dance-house" accompaniment comprised of a koboz and a drum. These instruments are played by Mátyás Bolya and Grátzy Benke. |
